Made to last, cared for slowly

A few minutes of care keeps a coat, a knit or a shirt going for years. And when something does wear through, bring it back — we mend it free.

Care

Wash less, air more. Most of our fibres clean themselves with fresh air and a soft brush.

Air knits between wears and brush coats along the grain with a soft clothes brush.

Hand wash cool with a wool detergent, press out the water in a towel and dry flat in shape. Never tumble dry.

Machine wash at 30° inside out with like colours. Hang to dry and steam rather than iron for a softer finish.

Linen softens with every wash — the creases are part of it.

Dry clean, or hand wash cold with a silk detergent. Keep out of strong sun and away from perfume.

Wipe leather with a damp cloth and condition twice a year. Brush suede dry with a suede brush; treat stains early.

Fold knits, hang coats on wide wooden hangers and give everything room to breathe. Cedar keeps moths away better than plastic covers.

Bring any Elvique piece to a showroom — buttons, seams, elbows, linings. We mend it free, for as long as you keep wearing it.
